A Happy + Sad Prod began as a film idea, born out of an actor's instinct for storytelling — with a goal to help capture stories for other actors. But a spark of genius happened: real stories don't always move. A single picture can say a thousand words — sometimes a quiet moment says more than a scene ever could, and lives forever in time, while motion sometimes can hold what stillness cannot: the unfolding of a moment exactly as it happened, exactly as it changed. That spark became the foundation of this company — whether a story is captured in a single frame or in motion, the goal has always been the same: to hold onto what's real, exactly as it was lived, exactly as it felt — because somewhere in that feeling is always someone else's vision, waiting to become real.
While acting remained his primary focus, Jinx began turning his hobby of capturing moments on camera into a genuine passion — he earned a minor in Film Production, alongside photography coursework, in college. Passionate about capturing stories and moments on camera in stillness and motion, the same way he expresses his characters' stories on stage and screen. His experience in acting became a natural extension of that same instinct — telling stories in comedy and/or tragedy. His forever goal now, through this company, is to capture and share the stories others carry — their happiness and sadness that's already present in their lives — through whichever lens, stills or movements, turning their vision into a creative reality.
